Thirty aspiring space entrepreneurs will get free training on commercial space and to take a business idea from concept to pitch. The Space Generation Advisory Council’s Commercial Space Project Group (CSPG) built this programme after hearing directly from its members, who wanted free practical guidance, not just theory.
The result is the first Commercial Space Masterclass: a free, highly selective nine-week programme running in Q4 2026, open to individuals aged 18–35 from anywhere in the world. Every session is taught by space professionals working at the front line of the industry today.
Teams form at the start of the course, each built around a real business idea. Over nine weeks, those teams are mentored toward a final pitch, culminating in a startup competition.
Classes start 29 September with Introduction to Commercial Space. I’ll be teaching Space Economy & Market Landscape on the 6th of October.
Week 8 brings a Mentor Workshop & Pitch Rehearsal, where I’ll also be mentoring teams on their pitch. Week 9 closes with the live pitching competition on 24 November, judged by an industry jury.
The winning team will earn a pre-incubation pathway with @ESA BIC Turin. The second-best team will receive expert consultation on their business plan from European Space Resources Innovation Centre (ESRIC)’s commercialisation experts in Luxembourg.
All participants who complete the programme will receive an official certification issued by SGAC.
