EnduroSat, the space company with headquarters in Bulgaria, building standardized, software flexible satellites and a streamlined constellations as a service model, has raised $205 million on the 16 September 2026. The round was led jointly by Riot Ventures and Atreides Management, with backing from the European Innovation Council and others. EnduroSat, founded by Raycho Raychev, designs, builds and operates CubeSats and nanosatellites for commercial and scientific missions, and is developing intersatellite links and data applications.
Building on extensive flight heritage
EnduroSat has launched 103 satellites to orbit and delivered more than 200 for missions across the globe, putting it on track to become one of the largest satellite manufacturers in Europe. The company is betting that standardization and radically cheaper space data will define the next era of the space economy.
Driving the cost of space data to $1 per gigabyte
The round is anchored by one ambition: bringing the cost of space data down to roughly $1 per gigabyte. At that price, entirely new markets open up. Small and medium enterprises could afford to build space data into their products and operations, turning space from an exclusive, capital intensive domain into a profitable layer for virtually any business.
Where the money will go
The capital will push EnduroSat’s serial production of FRAME satellites further, moving to larger ESPA class spacecraft and producing standardized 200kg, 500kg and 1 to 5 ton satellite fleets with the repeatability and volume of drones rather than bespoke single builds.
Reindustrialization of the EU and the US is at the core of the plan. EnduroSat is opening a new high volume manufacturing facility in the United States and developing the EU’s largest space and defense hub in Bulgaria.
Another European funding round for scaling satellite manufacturing
This is another European funding round where the thesis is scale: standardized platforms, serial production and lower cost per satellite, with the $1 per gigabyte target as the commercial outcome that justifies it. With facilities planned on both sides of the Atlantic, EnduroSat is further proof that European NewSpace has no problem raising funding to scale when the fundamentals are solid.
