Metalysis operates a single-stage, solid-state technology to produce valuable critical metal powders, alloy powders and lightweight refractory high entropy alloys. Developed at the University of Cambridge, the Metalysis FFC technology provides a more environmentally friendly and efficient process compared to traditional metal and metal powder reduction methods. With commercial partners across industry, government and academia, Metalysis uses its process to produce powders advanced manufacturing across semiconductors, electronics, space, hypersonics, aerospace, automotive, defence and the additive manufacturing sector. Metalysis’ ongoing work with the European Space Agency and the UK Space Agency develops our position as the global leader in ISRU oxygen extraction from lunar regolith – whilst leaving valuable metal powders – which meets the needs of lunar habitation, space exploration and the objective of reaching Mars.
